In the newest quest Death of Chivalry, the player has an opportunity to eulogize a fallen npc. Depending on what god the player chooses out of a big list, these are the dialogue options:
To me, this looks sloppily written, like bad fanfic bad. But, Jagex likes playing around with character perspectives and no one in the Lore is allowed to be omniscient, not even the gods. This could be a product of what the player character would know and figured out from their travels, painted by fanaticism for [insert god here]. No eulogy option is open for Godless players. Plus, the fact that the prayer to Apmeken includes a clause about protecting said NPC from Amascut, as if that were Apmeken's fight and not Icthlarin's as psychopomp of the Pantheon. Jagex hasn't exactly portrayed the player character as particularly smart or well-spoken.
But it could just be bad writing.
- Saradomin: Merciful Saradomin, bring of light and protector of peace...May your loyal servant find rest at your side, and delight in your wisdom.
- Zamorak: Lord Zamorak, bringer of chaos and father of invention...Without chaos, life stagnates. Let me be honed by the obstacles you place in my path. Grant me strength to succeed where this follower of Saradomin failed.
- Bandos: Mighty Bandos, Big High War God...Grant me the strength to defeat my enemies. In exchange, I offer up the soul of this fallen warrior to do with as you will.
- Armadyl: Noble Armadyl, god of liberty and justice...I pray that you remember Sir Owen's great deeds and strong will. May his soul soar free unfettered by the bonds of earth.
- Zaros: Lord Zaros, Empty Lord and arbiter of fate...All that happened here was inevitable, as you decreed it. I submit my will--and the fate of Sir Owen's soul--to you.
- Seren: Seren...queen of harmony...Though Sir Owen was not of your chosen people, I beseech your kindness. May your peace and grace shine upon this lost soul. Welcome him into your crystal city, I pray.
- Sliske: Mysterious Sliske, lord of the Shadow Realm and keeper of secrets...Here lies a man taken by madness and treachery. I pray that Sir Owen's part has been played out in full.
- Marimbo: Marimbo, god of monkeys...If ever anyone needed to kick back and have a good time, it's this guy. Show Sir Owen to the punch bowl, will you?
- Tumeken: Tumeken, god of the Sun...Husband to Elidinis and Father of Amascut and Icthlarin. May your falcon eyes watch over Sir Owen in the next life...
- Elidinis: Elidinis, goddess of fertility and growth...Wife to Tumeken and Mother of Amascut and Icthlarin...May your Hippos bear Sir Owen into the next life, where he might prosper and enjoy peace.
- Icthlarin: Icthlarin, demi-god of the dead...Son of Tumeken and Elidinis, brother of Amascut...May your cats and jackals guide Sir Owen on his journey into the underworld. Protect his soul from Amascut the Devourer I pray.
- Amascut: Amascut the Devourer, demi-goddess of destruction...Daughter of Tumeken and Elidinis...I offer up the soul of Sir Owen to you. Feast upon him in your glory.
- Apmeken: Apmeken, goddess of friendship and community...Welcome Sir Owen with open arms, and protect him from Amascut.
- Crondis: Crondis, crocodile god of resourcefulness and responsibility...Sir Own was a capable man; strong, smart, and willing to do what was necessary. I think you will enjoy his company.
- Het: Het, god of strength and mental health...Patron of Al-Kharid, I commend this strong warrior to your care.
- Scabaras: Scabaras, beetle god of isolation and tranquility...May Sir Owen find peace and enlightenment in the afterlife.
